Greetings members! The chill is in the air and my sweatshirts are now out of their storage bins as I get ready for colder weather. Brrrrr. This is a great time to think about spending time with friends and family. Our dates for activities for November are a little different because of the holidays coming up. So keep that in mind as you sip on warm tea and plan your calendar.
For nearly 60 years, Meals on Wheels has served older adults by delivering healthy meals and providing an array of supportive services that help seniors live independently, safely, and with dignity. From home-delivered meals and wellness programs to care management and social connection, they provide more than a meal to the older adults in our community.
On Tuesday, November 3 at 3 PM in the Club Room at Creekside [PLEASE NOTE LOCATION CHANGE FROM OUR USUAL MEETING PLACE!], Michelle Hayward, the Director of Development and Community Engagement for Meals on Wheels will talk about the program and answer questions you may have.
This is a wonderful program to attend for you and your neighbors. All Rossmoor residents are welcome to attend this important discussion.

Mark December 1 on your calendar for our annual Holiday Celebration and Dinner. This is a joyful event when we meet with our friends, both old and new, to celebrate the joys of the last year and look forward to the next. Flyers will soon be available for this dinner and registration will be necessary for attendance.

2027 membership fee for the Connection club is now due. The dues are just $15, and we'll be collecting them at the November, December and January general meetings - so feel free to bring your checkbook with you! You can also drop them off at the club mailbox at Gateway, marked "membership dues" or snail mail to Kathy Wheadon at 1514 Stanley Dollar Drive #1A.
If you joined after October 1, 2026, you need not pay 2027 dues.
· That is all that is new for now. We hope you are able to join in some of the upcoming events.

Tuesday, November 3 (First Tuesday): Monthly Meeting:
3 PM in the Club Room at Creekside -

Thursday, November 5 (First Thursday): Cocktails at Creekside:
4 PM in the Bunker Room-
This is an informal and fun way for ladies to get together to meet other women and build connections. This event is open to members and non members alike. Participants may go to the bar at the Golden Pear Restaurant to purchase a beverage or bring their own drink for an hour of conversation and friendship. Some participants may choose to go to dinner afterwards.

Tuesday, November 10 (Second Tuesday): Connection Lunch Club: The Connection Lunch Club will meet at 11:30 AM at the Golden Pear Restaurant for good food and wonderful conversation. Ladies will order off the menu and receive individual checks. To attend, call Kathy Wheadon at 925-891- 1574 or email kathy.wheadon@gmail.com. Note that reservations are necessary as the number of participants is limited.

in the Oak Room at Gateway:
Hand and Foot 1:00-4:00 PM.
Rummikub will NOT be meeting in November or December. Rummikub will resume January 22nd in the Oak Room at Gateway from 1-3 PM. For more information, contact Cecelia Tessler at ceceliaWCida@gmail.com
Every Wednesday Games: In the Oak Room at Gateway 1-3PM. This is a drop-in group to play cards or other games. Often the game is hand and foot which is easy to learn and play. No experience is necessary. As the room is not dedicated to our club, look for the Connection group in the room. They usually sit by the windows.
Every Monday Walk and Talk: 4 PM - Every Monday there is a group of women who meet behind the Event Center to walk for about 40 minutes on the golf course.
