July Greetings from the President to Members of The Connection,
Summer is here! I hope you've managed to stay cool over the last few days. There's something truly enchanting about the evenings—they're so delightful that they almost make the sweltering heat worthwhile.
We had a truly delightful picnic in June, a testament to our vibrant community. Our heartfelt thanks go to Yvonne Aarden and Ingrid Theriault, along with their team, who made the event so memorable. The weather was perfect, the food delicious, and the lively conversations among the tables truly warmed our hearts.
As we embrace these summer months, please consider joining some of our small groups if you haven't already. It's an excellent opportunity to meet new women in Rossmoor, some of whom could be your neighbors. Most groups are active throughout the summer. If you have a specific interest that's not currently represented, please let me know, as we're always open to forming new groups. For example, Kathy Hamill initiated the Coffee Klatch on the last Friday of the month, and Cecelia Tessler organized a Rummikub group on the 4th Friday.
We welcome new members who have joined since our last newsletter:
Betty Arnold
Diane Wardrope
Patricia Duignan
If you haven't received your 2025 Directory yet, copies are available in the Connection mailbox at Gateway. Stop by anytime during office hours, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Please note that we will not be holding our general meetings in July or August. However, I encourage you to mark your calendars for our next meeting on September 2. We look forward to seeing you there.
As we approach the 4th of July, I invite you to join the Rossmoor celebration at the Dollar picnic area from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. If you've never been, it's an excellent opportunity to experience the fun and camaraderie that our community has to offer. I hope to see some of you there!
Bev Fellows
President
